The Tre Case farm, has many years gone to Organic Production, is placed in Tuscany, in the far south of the province of Siena, in one of the areas more devoted to quality grape growing.
Founded at the beginning of the twentieth century by Orlando Del Ticco, nicknamed “Calano”, the farm is still managed by his heirs who have dedicated themselves to the activity of wine making with passion and devotion in the medieval village of Cetona.

The surface of the vineyard, located entirely within the Chianti Colli Senesi production area, is located in an excellent position on a plateau 350 metres above sea level with medium strong mixture terroir. The harvest is made by hand, after a careful selection of the grapes. The farm wines are not filtered and are mixed only for natural decantation, a procedure which can cause a little sediment in the bottle.
Wine processing and refining take place entirely in the farm cellar and the wines are the result of a meticulous work carried out entirely by the Del Ticco. According to the production philosophy adopted in the farm, they do not make use of an oenologist’s help, but only of a consultant’s for ISVEA analysis: as a consequence they do not adhere to the DOC and DOCG specifications, certifications which are more oriented to product selling than to give real warranties about wine quality. The Del Ticco themselves ensure the right control, aware that they can offer high quality products thanks to their genuine respect for tradition, experience and expertise gained after many years of work. They are always ready to welcome you for a guided tasting of wine and oil in the “Cantina la Frasca” store in Cetona, where you can find other local tradition products, or for a relaxing weekend in one of the restored holiday houses overlooking the magical Val d’Orcia.
Another excellent product is the oil: the olive grove is located within the farm, which is located at a height of 600 mlm, on stony ground, absolutely favorable conditions for this product, which does not allow us to use chemical treatments, and does not suffer the problem of the fly.
The cultivars: Frantoio (70%), Leccino (25%) and Cipressino (5%), make our oil delicate and fruity. The olive harvest is done entirely by hand, the same are taken the same evening to the mill in order to preserve intact all their qualities.
